The Start
It all started in the early seventies in an unlikely location - Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey. Above, the still-standing restaurant Cafe Italiano, several upstairs bedrooms suddenly became a lively spot for whimsical and unique childrenswear. This is how Marcia's Attic was set into motion.
Marcia's Attic was such a hit that a few years later the booming business expanded to a space in Fort Lee with proprietor Marcia Hecker driving the trendy store to include women's clothing. Now mothers could be just as fashionable as their kids.
